Hans-Georg Welz is a Partner in ESG in the Audit & Assurance service line and has more than 20 years of experience. After many years as an auditor of (consolidated) financial statements for mid-market and listed companies in various sectors, he was head of finance at a social enterprise complex for several years.
Since February 2019, his focus has been on the auditing of non-financial statements and reports in accordance with CSR-RUG, sustainability reports and disclosures under Art. 8 of the EU Taxonomy Regulation. Furthermore, he supports clients across all industries in preparing for future reporting under the CSRD as well as in implementing ESG reporting processes and plans and the preparation of ESG reports. He is an author and speaker on non-financial reporting topics.
