Dr Mathias Reif joined Grant Thornton 2023 and heads the M&A practice group. He mainly advises corporations and medium-size companies on national & international mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and restructurings – both for sell- and buy side clients.
Before joining Grant Thornton, he was among others with Deloitte Legal, dwf Germany and BridgehouseLaw and looks back to more than 20 years of experience as an attorney for corporate & M&A law. Moreover, Dr. Reif had an in-house career within Deutsche Telekom / T-Mobile International AG in 2002, first as Senior Legal Counsel and then as Head of the M&A department – where he was the responsible project lead for numerous international DTAG transactions.
He has strong relationships to Israel and the Start-up ecosystem in Tel Aviv and is seen as first point of contact for many Israeli law firms and companies in Europe.
