This underlines the company’s ambition to make a clear mark in this important business area and to accelerate its evolution into a significant force using the international expertise of the Grant Thornton network.

The soon-to-be partner is a trained banker, auditor and tax consultant. He has extensive national and international professional experience in the financial services sector: he has held senior global positions at Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank in the course of his career. He also has experience as a partner, both in a renowned medium-sized national auditing firm and in an international Big4 company.

Andreas Serafin and his teams in Frankfurt am Main and Düsseldorf will focus on supporting banks and financial service providers throughout Germany in audit and advisory matters, drawing on the global expertise of Grant Thornton’s international network.

This also includes placing a range of services – expanded to include larger and more complex audits of financial reports of banks and financial service providers – in Germany’s central financial centre.

“Warth and Klein Grant Thornton combines entrepreneurial reliability and customer proximity in the finest traditions of a traditional family-oriented company,” said Serafin. He continued, pointing out that “drawing on the international strength of Grant Thornton’s global financial services network, we will give our customers integrated advice and comprehensive support.

“By implementing this approach, based on proximity to clients and global expertise, we intend to significantly strengthen the capacities we already have in consulting and auditing at the Frankfurt office in the future,” adds Marc A. Sahner, member of the Audit & Assurance Division Management of Warth & Klein Grant Thornton.

Financial services form an important component of the Warth & Klein Grant Thornton Growth Strategy 2025. The company’s planned increase in personnel also sends a clear signal that it will be increasing visibility and industry expertise in the FrankfurtRhineMain metropolitan region.
