New Executive Board quintet takes charge

Future-oriented management structure reflects growth strategy


As planned, the new Warth & Klein Grant Thornton Executive Board will start its work with the beginning of the 2019/2020 financial year on 1 October 2019.

Michael Häger (59) succeeds Joachim Riese (66) as CEO. He will be responsible for the management of the company and the board department Strategy & Finance.

Professor Dr. Gernot Hebestreit (56) is in charge for the Clients & Markets division and coordinates all business units.

Dr. Frank Hülsberg (53) heads the Governance, Risk, Compliance & Technology department and the new Technology & Innovation division of the Executive Board in order to strengthen Warth & Klein Grant Thornton's ambitions to become a leader as well in technology.

Heidemarie Wagner (62) is responsible for the Integration department within the board in addition to providing tax advice to national and international real estate companies.

Prof. Dr. Heike Wieland-Blöse (49) is as board member for Clients & Culture taking account of the growing importance of recruiting and retaining employees. She combines her role as a member of the Executive Board with working for clients in the areas of company valuation and economic/dispute advisory.
